Billing / Accounting Officer

About the role

The Billing / Accounting Officer will ensure accurate invoicing, timely payment processing, and proper financial record‑keeping for a travel services company. This role supports the finance team while collaborating closely with sales, operations, and reservations to guarantee smooth financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue invoices for tour packages, hotel bookings, transportation, trekking, adventure activities and other travel services.
• Process client payments (cash, bank transfers, credit cards, online) and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Generate monthly client statements, reconcile accounts and handle billing adjustments, refunds and credit notes.
• Maintain daily financial transaction records, record vendor expenses and perform bank reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and support payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with Nepalese VAT, TDS and other tax regulations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations and Reservations to verify booking details before invoicing.
• Maintain proper documentation, support internal and external audits, and prepare periodic cash‑flow and accounts reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or related field (BBA/BBS preferred).
• 1‑2 years of experience in billing, accounts or finance, preferably in travel & tourism.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Nepalese tax regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally Prime, ERP systems or QuickBooks.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
