Chief Operations Officer

About the role

The Chief Operations Officer will lead day‑to‑day operations, translate the CEO’s vision into actionable plans, and ensure operational excellence across the organisation. Acting as the Deputy CEO, the COO will represent the CEO internally and externally when required and maintain business continuity in the CEO’s absence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and alignment with organisational goals.
• Act as the Deputy CEO, representing the CEO internally and externally as needed.
• Translate strategic vision into operational and departmental plans.
• Monitor organisational performance and provide actionable insights to the CEO.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives, track progress, and ensure accountability.
• Identify opportunities to scale operations, improve productivity, and optimise resource utilisation.
• Develop, implement, and refine operational processes, SOPs, and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
• Lead and mentor department heads, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Drive organisational change, workforce planning, and talent development.
• Monitor operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee business continuity and crisis management in the CEO’s absence.

Required profile

• Minimum 48 months (4 years) of experience in operations leadership or a comparable senior role.
• Proven ability to represent senior executives internally and externally.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and driving strategic initiatives.
• Strong track record of translating strategy into operational plans.
