Computer IT Assistant

About the role

A Reputed College is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Computer IT Assistant to keep its IT infrastructure running smoothly. The role involves supporting faculty, staff, and students by maintaining hardware, managing networks, and handling software installations across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues, providing first‑line technical support.
• Install and update operating systems, application software and antivirus solutions.
• Assist in setting up, configuring and maintaining LAN, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches and related networking devices.
• Maintain computer labs, smart classrooms and other IT facilities.
• Monitor network connectivity, troubleshoot internet‑related problems and support CCTV and biometric systems.
• Keep accurate inventory records of IT assets and perform preventive maintenance.
• Carry out any additional IT‑related tasks assigned by the IT Department or management.

Required profile

• Proactive, service‑oriented attitude with strong technical aptitude.
• At least 24 months of relevant experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with academic staff and students.
