Construction Engineer

About the role

The Engineer will join Saubhagya Group in Kathmandu, supporting construction and renovation projects across the Group’s diverse business units. This full‑time, on‑site position involves planning, design and implementation activities to ensure safe, efficient and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical drawings, reports and specifications for project documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors and cross‑functional teams to align tasks and resolve technical issues.
• Monitor project progress, quality and compliance with local building codes and standards.
• Assist in estimating resources, costs and identifying technical risks, proposing practical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards throughout project execution.
• Track and report project milestones and deliverables.
• Support quality assurance and safety inspections on site.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in engineering principles relevant to construction and renovation.
• Proficiency in producing and managing technical documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, site teams and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (civil or related) or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kathmandu and visit project locations as needed.
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication for clear documentation and stakeholder interaction.
• Prior experience in construction or infrastructure projects in Nepal is an advantage.
• Familiarity with local building codes and standards is a plus.
