Coordinator – United Nations University Hub (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) is seeking a Hub Coordinator for its newly established United Nations University (UNU) Hub. The Coordinator will lead the strategic, programmatic, research and financial coordination of the Hub, ensuring effective collaboration among partner institutions and delivery of climate‑resilient mountain development objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Hub’s strategic plan and oversee its execution.
• Lead fundraising activities, prepare project proposals and secure sustainable funding.
• Supervise the Hub team and coordinate steering, advisory and management board meetings.
• Manage technical and financial reporting to partner institutions and donors.
• Act as the primary liaison between ICIMOD, UNU‑EHS, Eurac Research and the Himalayan University Consortium.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (preferably a PhD) in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of project/program/hub management experience, including 3 years leading large, multi‑disciplinary research programmes.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work with all internal and external levels.
• Respect for ICIMOD’s and UN core values.
