Cybersecurity Instructor

About the role

The Cybersecurity Instructor will deliver a comprehensive 12‑chapter cybersecurity curriculum, combining theoretical instruction with hands‑on laboratory exercises to equip students with essential security knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a student‑friendly syllabus covering all 12 chapters of the cybersecurity course.
• Present theoretical concepts and real‑world applications of cybersecurity.
• Set up and maintain a hands‑on lab environment for practical exercises.
• Conduct regular class tests and monitor student progress.
• Design schedules and structures for effective course delivery.
• Assess students through practical security scenarios and risk‑assessment exercises.
• Provide scripts, tools, documentation, and reference materials.
• Administer practical exams evaluating network security, risk management, and incident response.
• Guide project work and mentor students on cybersecurity career paths.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills with fluent English for technical instruction.
• Ability to make complex cybersecurity concepts understandable for beginners.

Required skills

• Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals, threat landscape, and cyber threats.
• Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Understanding of cryptographic algorithms, encryption methods, and public key infrastructure (PKI).
• Operating system security for Windows, Linux, and mobile platforms.
• Proficiency in malware analysis, reverse engineering, and threat intelligence.
• Knowledge of ethical hacking methodologies and penetration testing frameworks.
• Understanding of web application security, OWASP Top 10, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit, SIEM platforms, and network analyzers.
