Data Engineering Intern

About the role

Dataweav is looking for a motivated Data Engineering Intern to join its AI‑first team. You will help build and maintain automated data collection pipelines using Python and modern browser automation tools, while leveraging AI assistants for daily development tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new data collection workflows with Python, Playwright and HTTP APIs.
• Maintain and update existing pipelines when target websites change.
• Debug collection failures, handle missing data and site‑structure changes.
• Normalize raw data into standardized schemas.
• Run QA checks to detect regressions, missing data or corruption.
• Use Claude Code and other AI tools as part of the development workflow.

Required profile

• Background in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience (ideally 8th semester or recent graduate).
• Proficiency in Python.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and how browsers work.
• Ability to read network traffic in browser DevTools (inspect requests, responses, HTTP headers) or strong willingness to learn.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and communicate effectively in written English.
• Comfortable using or learning Claude Code as an AI coding assistant.
