Data QA Engineer 1

About the role

Under general supervision, the Data QA Engineer 1 carries out quality assurance testing of highly complex software applications. The role ensures that information systems products and services meet the organization's minimum standards and end-user requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Write test plans and detailed test scripts supporting test cases derived from functional requirements and programming specifications.
• Test software thoroughly to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects before implementation.
• Document issues and work to resolve them.
• Analyze workflows and recommend quality improvements.
• Establish software quality standards for life cycle, documentation, development methods, testing and maintenance.
• Develop advanced software test standards and methods, and devise improvements to current procedures and models of future configurations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.
• Two or more years of related experience in quality assurance and testing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven technical writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with onshore and offshore teams.
• Proactive, adaptable to change, eager to learn and open to new technologies and processes.
