About the role

Nomad Hotel in Lazimpat, Kathmandu is seeking a motivated and passionate Demi Chef de Partie to join its culinary team. The role involves assisting daily kitchen operations, preparing dishes to established recipes, and supporting high standards of food quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and service.
• Prepare and present dishes according to established recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
• Maintain product and menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, and plating standards.
• Ensure proper mise en place and follow the sequence of service for timely food delivery.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, personal grooming, and food safety standards.
• Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and handling in accordance with food safety guidelines.
• Minimize food wastage and maintain efficient use of kitchen resources.
• Coordinate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field (preferred) or currently pursuing such qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a professional kitchen or hospitality environment.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
