Digital Producer

About the role

The Digital Producer will join BBC Media Action’s Kathmandu office to create engaging digital content that supports development initiatives across Nepal. Working full‑time, you will collaborate with project teams, media partners and local stakeholders to produce high‑quality video and audio outputs that inform, connect and empower audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Write scripts and develop compelling narratives for digital platforms targeting donors, general audiences and project partners.
• Record audio and film high‑quality video footage for a variety of digital outputs.
• Edit raw footage into broadcast‑ready content, ensuring consistency with editorial guidelines.
• Perform post‑production tasks, including content packaging and formatting for different digital channels.
• Experiment with new formats, tools and creative approaches to maximise reach and impact.
• Coordinate with project teams and media partners to maintain consistent messaging.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building support to local partners.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of experience in digital media production or a related field.
• Ability to work with vulnerable groups; mandatory safeguarding training will be provided.
• Strong commitment to social impact and development communication.
• Flexibility to travel to field locations as needed.
