Engineering Manager (Data)

About the role

Lead a globally distributed data engineering team of 10‑12 professionals, bridging client delivery, technical execution, and people leadership to ensure successful implementations of healthcare data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end client implementations, delivering high‑quality results on schedule.
• Provide technical leadership for ETL, data mapping, and integration workflows, promoting best practices.
• Improve CMS Interoperability processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Coordinate offshore and distributed teams, aligning priorities and maintaining operational rigor.
• Mentor engineers, foster a collaborative, performance‑driven culture, and support talent development.
• Oversee delivery management, resource planning, and prioritization with product teams.
• Define and track performance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
• Promote adoption of tools and technologies that enhance scalability, quality, and efficiency.

Required profile

• 7+ years of data engineering experience, including client‑facing implementations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
• Hands‑on expertise designing and supporting complex ETL workflows and data integrations.
• Strong communication skills with a data‑driven problem‑solving approach.
