Executive Director (Part‑time)

About the role

Prayatna Nepal, a women‑led non‑profit focused on disability rights and gender equality, seeks a part‑time Executive Director to provide strategic leadership, oversee operations and ensure effective delivery of its programmes for women and girls with disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the organisation’s strategic and annual operational plans, translating board decisions into actionable work plans and measurable results.
• Represent Prayatna Nepal with government agencies, donors, civil‑society networks and international partners, strengthening partnerships and securing new funding.
• Oversee programme design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, ensuring inclusion of women and girls with disabilities in all stages.
• Manage financial oversight in collaboration with the finance team, monitor budgets, ensure donor compliance and timely reporting.
• Supervise, support and evaluate staff performance, fostering an accessible, inclusive and accountable workplace.

Required profile

• Woman with a disability committed to disability rights and gender equality.
• Extensive professional experience with OPDs, disability or women’s rights organisations, and proven organisational leadership.
• Demonstrated expertise in project planning, results‑based management, donor‑funded project compliance and fundraising.
• Strong communication, negotiation and partnership‑building skills, with high standards of integrity and transparency.
