Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Finance Manager to lead the full finance function of our Nepal entity. The role involves end‑to‑end accounting, statutory compliance, taxation, payroll, treasury, budgeting, financial reporting, and cross‑border transactions, working closely with the Group Finance team and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle bookkeeping in line with NFRS and handle month‑end closing.
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports in NPR and USD for the Group.
• Oversee project and cost‑centre accounting, maintaining accurate records.
• Handle TDS, VAT registration, monthly returns, income‑tax, and advance tax filings.
• Coordinate statutory audits and ensure compliance with IRD and OCR regulations.
• Process monthly payroll, SSF contributions, and manage leave and gratuity provisions.
• Administer day‑to‑day banking, foreign‑currency receipts, profit repatriation, and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Prepare and monitor the annual budget, enforce procurement and expense controls, and maintain the fixed‑asset register.
• Develop and improve finance procedures, internal controls, and contract/invoice reviews.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of finance/accounting experience, with at least 2 years managing an entity’s books and statutory filings.
• Professional qualification: CA (ICAN), ACCA, CA‑Inter, or ACCA Part‑Qualified; alternatively a Master’s in Finance/Accountancy with equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with TDS, VAT, income‑tax returns, and statutory audits.
• Experience in cross‑border foreign‑currency transactions for a foreign‑invested company is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of locally used accounting software and excellent Excel/spreadsheet and financial‑modelling skills.
• Fluent English communication and professional writing abilities.
• Must be a Nepali national residing in Kathmandu Valley.
