Group Finance Head

About the role

The Group Finance Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu, responsible for overseeing the financial health and performance of the organization and its group entities. This role includes managing financial planning and budgeting processes, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and statements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations across all group entities.
• Establish and strengthen internal control systems, financial policies, and compliance frameworks.
• Oversee tax planning, tax compliance, and statutory requirements in accordance with Nepalese laws.
• Manage banking relationships, treasury operations, and cash management.
• Supervise Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Prepare and review MIS, financial statements, and management reports for senior leadership.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow management.
• Coordinate and manage statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor financial performance across group companies and provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
• Identify financial risks and implement appropriate controls and mitigation measures.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance and accounting team.
• Partner with the CEO and business heads on financial strategy, business planning, investment decisions, and overall business performance.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance across all group entities.

Required profile

• 12–15 years of overall experience in finance and accounting.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a finance leadership/managerial role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CPA is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Nepalese taxation, accounting standards, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end finance operations across multiple businesses or entities.
• Strong leadership, analytical, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
