Human Resources Officer – Kathmandu

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will support a fast‑growing clean‑energy group by managing recruitment, employee records, payroll coordination and compliance across the head office and project sites in Nepal.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment across subsidiaries, from sourcing and screening to interviews, offers and onboarding.
• Build and maintain HR policies, procedures and employee handbooks.
• Manage employee records, contracts, attendance and leave through HR systems.
• Coordinate payroll inputs, Social Security Fund contributions and benefits administration with finance.
• Ensure compliance with the Nepal Labour Act 2074 and related regulations.
• Support performance appraisal cycles, training needs assessments and capacity‑building programs.
• Handle employee relations, grievances and workplace conduct matters with fairness and confidentiality.
• Collaborate on employer branding, internal communication and engagement initiatives.
• Prepare HR reports and workforce data for management review.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR role.
• Strong knowledge of Nepal Labour Act 2074 and Social Security Fund requirements.
• Excellent communication skills in Nepali and English.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data tracking) and MS Office or Google Workspace.
• Experience with HRIS or payroll software.
• Familiarity with recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn, MeroJob and JobsNepal.
• Strong HR documentation, reporting and record‑keeping abilities.
