IT Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive IT Officer to manage day‑to‑day IT operations, provide technical support to students and staff, and ensure the smooth functioning of hardware, software, networking and computer lab facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, install, set up and upgrade IT systems and equipment.
• Provide technical support to students, staff and faculty for computers, software and other IT devices.
• Monitor and maintain LAN, hardware, software and related IT resources.
• Troubleshoot networking equipment, MikroTik routers and related hardware.
• Coordinate with external vendors for hosting, software, hardware and networking services.
• Perform regular backups of critical data and support data recovery.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks of computers, lab equipment and electronic devices.
• Maintain records of hardware/software issues and follow up until resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant IT support experience.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Computer hardware knowledge.
• Networking and LAN configuration.
• Hands‑on experience with MikroTik routers.
• Hardware, software and connectivity troubleshooting.
