About the role
The Knitwear Designer will work full‑time on‑site in Kathmandu, creating seasonal knitwear collections from concept to final product. The role involves trend research, mood‑board creation, sketching, technical design, and close collaboration with production and merchandising teams.
Key responsibilities
- Research fashion trends and develop seasonal knitwear concepts.
- Create mood boards, sketches and technical specifications for each design.
- Select yarns, develop knit structures and oversee fittings to ensure design intent.
- Collaborate with merchandising, production and management to align designs with brand and market requirements.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design or related field.
- Prior experience in knitwear or apparel design preferred.
- Strong sense of colour, texture and fabric, with knowledge of yarn types and knit constructions.
Required skills
- Adobe Illustrator or similar design software.
- Sketching and visualisation.
- Mood‑board creation and trend research.
- Fitting and technical specification development.
