Lab Assistant

About the role

Healthy Choice Aesthetic Hospital seeks a responsible, detail‑oriented, and motivated Lab Assistant to support its laboratory operations in Baluwatar, Kathmandu. The role involves assisting with sample handling, equipment preparation, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the collection, labeling, handling, and proper storage of patient samples.
• Support laboratory technicians and medical staff in routine laboratory procedures.
• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and work areas.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of laboratory waste according to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of samples, test requests, and laboratory documentation.
• Assist with inventory management of laboratory supplies and consumables.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and infection‑control standards within the laboratory.
• Coordinate with relevant departments regarding sample collection and test requirements.

Required profile

• Certificate/Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT/DMLT) or a relevant qualification.
• Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, diagnostic center, or laboratory is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample handling, and infection‑control practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work responsibly in a healthcare environment with attention to detail.
