Legal Officer

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Legal Officer to provide comprehensive legal and regulatory support to our organization. The role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with Nepalese laws, and advising management on legal risks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal and regulatory advice on company operations.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts, agreements, and official correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Labour Act, tax legislation, and other applicable regulations.
• Identify, assess, and advise on potential legal risks, recommending mitigation measures.
• Support corporate, contractual, employment, and other business-related legal matters.
• Maintain and safeguard the company’s legal records, agreements, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and keep the organization updated on changes in laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with external legal advisors, government authorities, and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Perform additional legal and compliance duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong knowledge of Nepalese corporate, labour, and tax law.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate contracts.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess legal risks.
• Effective communication skills for advising management and interacting with external stakeholders.
