Librarian – Manage Library Resources & Services

About the role

Kantipur International College is looking for a dedicated Librarian to oversee its library resources, maintain accurate records, and support both research and digital services. The role ensures a well‑organized, accessible, and quiet environment for students and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Process check‑in and check‑out of books, media, and other resources while keeping circulation records up to date.
• Classify, index, and organize print and digital materials using standard library classification systems.
• Manage cataloguing, binding, and subscription tracking for serials, journals, and periodicals.
• Identify, select, and procure new materials based on patron needs.
• Utilize an Integrated Library System (ILS) to input, track, and maintain collection data.
• Generate and present reports on usage statistics, inventory status, and resource distribution.
• Maintain a clean, organized, quiet, and safe study environment.
• Assist users with research inquiries and navigation of online databases.
• Support department heads with additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience working in a library setting.
• Strong ability to manage library collections and support research activities.
• Attention to detail in record‑keeping and reporting.
• Capability to work collaboratively with college staff and departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an Integrated Library System (ILS).
