About the role
Join Sahara Mind, a mental health and wellness organization, as a Management Trainee in Human Resources. You will support People & Culture initiatives and gain hands‑on experience across the full HR lifecycle in a fast‑growing, mission‑driven environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment: draft job descriptions, post vacancies, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks and support onboarding.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of therapists and other specialized professionals, including document verification and mock‑session coordination.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, SOPs and process flowcharts for recruitment, attendance, leave, payroll, performance and grievance handling.
- Maintain confidential employee records, contracts, recruitment trackers and other HR documentation.
- Support payroll administration, payslip preparation, salary calculations, reimbursements and final settlements in collaboration with Finance.
- Handle statutory compliance such as Social Security Fund registration and related deposits.
- Administer and improve HRIS, ensuring accurate employee and contract data and coordinating with IT on system issues.
- Prepare HR and recruitment reports, attendance records and other periodic updates for management decision‑making.
- Promote employee engagement, internal communication and workplace well‑being initiatives to foster an inclusive, psychologically safe environment.
- Coordinate cross‑functional HR and administrative requirements with Finance, IT, Operations, Engineering, Marketing, Clinical and management teams.
Required profile
- Strong interest in HR, organizational behavior and workplace mental health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to observe patterns in employee behavior and translate them into actionable HR insights.
- Awareness or interest in mental health, counseling or well‑being practices is a plus.
