Mathematics Teacher – Middle School

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join Adhyayan School’s middle‑school team in Kathmandu. The successful candidate will inspire students aged 11‑14 to develop strong numerical and problem‑solving abilities in a supportive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned mathematics lessons for middle‑school students.
• Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation.
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet diverse learning styles.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Differentiate instruction for learners with special needs or English language challenges.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects that integrate mathematics with other subjects.
• Promote a growth mindset and perseverance in solving mathematical problems.
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student performance.
• Participate in professional development and reflect on teaching practices.
• Adhere to school policies on classroom management, behavior, and safety.

Required profile

• Passion for mathematics education and student development.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience at the middle‑school level.
• Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners, including those with learning disabilities.
• Commitment to continuous professional growth.
