Mid-Senior Civil Design Engineer - Land Development

About the role

SSN Corporation is seeking a motivated and experienced Mid‑Senior Civil Design Engineer – Land Development for its Kathmandu office. The role involves developing and coordinating civil engineering designs, construction drawings, grading and utility plans for residential, commercial and other development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and prepare land development, grading, utility and site plans, and construction documents using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Perform and coordinate site grading, stormwater drainage, water, sanitary sewer and other utility designs for various projects.
• Create Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, pipe networks and grading features required for project delivery.
• Review and coordinate civil designs with architectural, structural, geotechnical, survey and MEP disciplines to ensure accurate construction documents.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, surveyors and stakeholders to address design revisions, agency comments, RFIs and technical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering and land development design.
• Experience delivering at least three U.S.-based civil engineering or land development projects.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. civil engineering standards, codes and permitting requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (surfaces, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, grading).
• Practical knowledge of site grading, stormwater drainage, water distribution, sanitary sewer and utility layouts.
