Operations and Compliance Analyst (Kathmandu)

About the role

The Operations and Compliance Analyst supports financial management, assurance activities, and reporting for UNFPA Nepal. Based in the Kathmandu country office, the role works under the International Operations Manager to ensure resources are used in line with UN policies and programme objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and technical support for financial management and compliance.
• Assist with budget preparation, expenditure analysis, and financial reporting.
• Monitor programme delivery, track operational performance, and identify major risks.
• Support internal control, audit, and assurance functions to ensure adherence to corporate rules.
• Facilitate communication of best practices in financial accountability across the office.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in financial management, compliance, or audit within an international development context.
• Ability to work closely with programme officers and operations teams.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
