Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Operations Supervisor will oversee daily operational activities at Samaj Dental Hospital in Kathmandu. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures smooth patient flow, efficient resource use, and compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front‑office and support staff, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Coordinate patient flow and manage appointment schedules to optimise clinic utilisation.
• Allocate resources and oversee facility maintenance to maintain a safe and functional environment.
• Monitor operational performance metrics and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to enhance the patient experience.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders, support basic reporting and assist in implementing operational initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in a clinical or service‑oriented setting.
• Strong operations management background, capable of overseeing workflows and resource coordination.
• Analytical ability to interpret operational data and recommend practical improvements.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, staff and management.
• Relevant experience in healthcare or hospital operations, preferably with a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
• Familiarity with hospital information systems for scheduling and resource management.
