Packing Incharge

About the role

The Packing Incharge will lead the packing line, ensuring optimal machine performance, product quality and compliance with food safety standards. This position coordinates with production, QA, maintenance and warehouse teams to achieve daily output targets while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise automatic packing machines according to SOPs, monitor speed, output, downtime, rejection, wastage and OEE metrics.
• Plan and execute SKU/pack‑size changeovers within standard time, ensuring availability of materials, tools and manpower.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities, conduct inspections and report abnormalities.
• Allocate and supervise operators/helpers, provide training on machine operation, changeovers, cleaning, troubleshooting and safety.
• Maintain GMP, HACCP, food safety and workplace safety compliance, control product breakage and packaging material wastage.
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping of production, downtime, breakdowns, changeovers and inspections.
• Uphold 5S, housekeeping and hygiene standards in the packing area.
• Identify and recommend process improvements, spare‑part needs and additional training.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Production or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in packing/production operations, preferably in biscuit, FMCG or food processing.
• Hands‑on experience with automatic packing machines and changeover procedures.
• Proven track record of supervising and managing production/packing teams.
