Procurement Assistant

About the role

The Procurement Assistant will support Manavsewa Ashram in acquiring goods and services needed for its humanitarian programmes. The role involves managing supplier relationships, preparing purchase documents, and ensuring timely delivery of items to field locations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and maintain supplier registration documents; update the supplier register and procurement tracker.
• Prepare quotations, request market quotes, and conduct comprehensive bid analysis for supplier selection.
• Create and approve purchase orders, draft contracts, and obtain signatures from both parties.
• Receive goods, verify against purchase orders, update bin cards and stock registers, and distribute items to departments or field sites.
• Track goods in transit, coordinate loading/unloading, and manage repairs or maintenance.
• Collect and submit bills, negotiate pricing, and ensure compliance with government procurement policies.
• Prepare and verify procurement documentation and support the line manager in meeting procurement timelines.

Required profile

• At least +2 completed; a bachelor’s degree (ongoing or completed) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Nepali.
