Procurement Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Procurement Officer to lead the sourcing and purchasing of machinery, spare parts, consumables and services required for our quarry and office operations. The role ensures timely, cost‑effective procurement while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting our commitment to responsible mining.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute procurement for operational, technical and administrative needs.
• Source and purchase items such as machinery, spare parts, diesel, lubricants, tyres, construction materials, PPE and office supplies.
• Obtain quotations, evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices and issue purchase orders.
• Maintain a reliable supplier database and monitor supplier performance.
• Collaborate with store, workshop, quarry and finance teams to forecast needs and manage inventory levels.
• Verify receipt of goods against purchase orders and coordinate logistics for delivery.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and ensure compliance with company policies and budgets.
• Prepare procurement reports, purchase analyses and supplier performance evaluations.
• Support the implementation and use of ERP and digital procurement systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP or digital procurement systems.
