Professional Barista

About the role

The Professional Barista will work on-site in Kathmandu, preparing and serving a variety of coffee and specialty beverages while ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare espresso‑based drinks, cold beverages and tea according to standard recipes, maintaining consistent taste and temperature.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders and other beverage equipment, performing daily checks and reporting faults.
• Manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups and supplies, monitor freshness and assist with stock counts.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, follow food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Engage with guests, take orders, handle payments and support promotional activities.

Required profile

• High school education or equivalent; hospitality or food‑service training is a plus.
• Previous experience as a barista in a café, restaurant or hotel.
• Professional communication and strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Operation of espresso machines and coffee grinders.
• Milk steaming, frothing and basic latte‑art techniques.
• Knowledge of beverage preparation and recipe adherence.
