Project Manager – Product Development

About the role

Sterling Wells Nepal is expanding its multi‑product SaaS portfolio and needs a hands‑on Project Manager to bring structure, accountability, and momentum to its engineering teams. You will coordinate sprint cycles, manage Azure DevOps boards, and act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, own, and run sprint cycles across multiple concurrent product development projects.
• Maintain a clean, up‑to‑date Azure DevOps environment with accurate task status, priorities, and delivery milestones.
• Translate business requirements into developer‑ready user stories with clear acceptance criteria and effort estimates.
• Hold developers accountable to committed delivery dates, identify blockers early, and drive resolution.
• Prepare regular status reports for senior management covering progress, velocity, risks, and open issues.
• Track individual team member contributions and surface performance trends for improvement planning.
• Proactively communicate upcoming deadlines, dependency risks, scope changes, and capacity issues to leadership.
• Continuously evaluate and improve project delivery processes to increase throughput and reduce rework.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Project Manager in a software or SaaS product development environment.
• Hands‑on working knowledge of Azure DevOps (boards, backlogs, pipelines, reporting) – non‑negotiable.
• Proven experience running Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Strong instinct for accountability and excellent written and spoken English communication.
• High attention to detail, able to spot issues before they impact delivery.
