Restaurant Manager – Japanese Restaurant

About the role

A reputed Japanese Restaurant is hiring a Restaurant Manager. We are looking for an experienced and customer‑focused professional to oversee day‑to‑day operations, maintain service quality, manage staff, control costs, and deliver an excellent guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, including opening, closing, and floor management.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, safety and customer service.
• Supervise, train, motivate and manage restaurant staff.
• Prepare schedules, allocate duties and monitor attendance and performance.
• Handle customer feedback, complaints and service issues professionally.
• Monitor sales, expenses, inventory, wastage and operational costs.
• Coordinate with kitchen team for timely food preparation and smooth service.
• Maintain stock levels and liaise with suppliers for procurement.
• Ensure compliance with policies, SOPs, health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Prepare operational reports and support promotional activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel or Business Management preferred.
• 3–5 years of restaurant operations experience, including supervisory or managerial roles.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant service standards, inventory and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication and team‑management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Japanese language proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using restaurant POS systems.
