Robotics Instructor – Part‑time, Kathmandu

About the role

The Robotics Instructor will join STEM Sikshya’s on‑site team in Kathmandu to deliver hands‑on robotics and STEM lessons to school‑age learners. This part‑time position focuses on practical learning, guiding students through building and programming robots while fostering problem‑solving skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver interactive robotics and STEM lessons aligned with school curricula.
• Prepare teaching materials, kits, and resources for each classroom session.
• Conduct on‑site classroom sessions, demonstrating safe equipment use.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to learners and school staff.
• Collaborate with the STEM Sikshya team to refine curriculum and teaching approaches.
• Participate in internal training sessions and professional development.
• Contribute to workshops or events that promote STEM education.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of robotics with practical design, building, or teaching experience.
• Solid STEAM foundation and understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts relevant to school curricula.
• Programming skills in at least one educational robotics language or platform (e.g., Python, C++, Arduino).
• Training or teaching experience with the ability to facilitate engaging classroom sessions for varied learning styles.
• Effective communication skills for clear instruction and technical explanation to young learners.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Education, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience working with school students or in an educational setting is highly beneficial.
