Self Defense Trainer

About the role

FightBack is seeking a young, energetic, and dedicated Self Defense Trainer to deliver practical physical safety skills to children and adolescents. The role focuses on teaching self‑defence techniques that help prevent and mitigate the risk of sexual violence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver self‑defence training sessions in schools across Kathmandu Valley and other districts.
• Follow the curriculum and standards set by FightBack’s Train‑the‑Trainer (ToT) program.
• Prepare and manage logistics for each training session, including equipment and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of participant attendance and progress.
• Collaborate closely with the supervising trainer and share feedback on trainee development.

Required profile

• Completed +2 education and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
• Solid background in martial arts with a recognized certificate or belt level.
• Ability to work sensitively with diverse groups of girls and boys.

Required skills

• Martial‑arts proficiency demonstrated by a certified belt level.
