Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead our accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and uphold strong internal controls. The role supports financial decision‑making and collaborates closely with management and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and conduct financial analysis.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate audit activities and provide required documentation.
• Maintain internal controls to minimize financial risk.
• Handle payroll‑related accounting and statutory deductions where required.
• Track fixed assets, depreciation, accruals, pre‑payments, and other adjustments.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and support management with cost‑control recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation procedures.
• Experience with accounting software and advanced MS Excel.
• Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statements.
• Good knowledge of taxation, compliance, and statutory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
