Senior Accounts Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Officer to lead our accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and coordinate the Accounts team. The role involves managing month‑end closing, tax compliance, and audit processes while supporting cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, review sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries.
• Lead month‑end closing, prepare adjustments, provisions, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly MIS and financial reports for management.
• Perform bank reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and monitor receivable/payable ageing.
• Follow up on overdue receivables, bounced cheques, refunds, and credit notes.
• Support tax filings, statutory compliance, and liaison with authorities.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit queries.
• Supervise the Accounts team, allocate tasks, and monitor performance.
• Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Strong experience in monthly closing, bank reconciliation, receivables, payables, and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of taxation and statutory compliance.
• Experience with MIS reporting, audits, and financial documentation.
• Team supervision or staff‑review experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting/ERP software.
