Senior Chef de Partie – Nepali Fine Dining

About the role

The Himalayan Kitchen, Bagaicha’s premium Nepali restaurant in Kathmandu, is seeking a Senior Chef de Partie to lead one of its kitchen sections. The role combines authentic Nepali culinary expertise with the high standards of fine‑dining service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the assigned kitchen section throughout daily operations, ensuring smooth service.
• Prepare and present authentic Nepali dishes consistently, adhering to Bagaicha’s quality, taste, portioning and plating standards.
• Maintain food hygiene, sanitation and kitchen safety, and monitor mise en place and stock levels.
• Coordinate with the Sous Chef, other CDPs and Commis Chefs, and train junior team members.
• Support menu development, recipe standardisation and the introduction of new Nepali dishes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior CDP in a reputable restaurant, hotel or fine‑dining establishment.
• Strong knowledge of traditional Nepali cuisine, ingredients and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
• Leadership, communication and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management preferred, with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
