Social Media Content Creator

About the role

The Social Media Content Creator will craft and publish engaging content that showcases AI Ko Bato’s AI‑literacy programs for students and educators. Working on‑site in Kathmandu, you will collaborate closely with teaching and operations teams to amplify classroom activities, success stories, events and partnership updates across multiple social platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar aligned with program milestones.
• Create original posts—including copy, graphics and short‑form videos—for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other channels.
• Manage social media pages, schedule posts, and engage with comments and direct messages.
• Monitor performance metrics, generate reports and adjust strategies to improve reach and engagement.
• Coordinate with educators and school partners to capture authentic classroom moments and testimonials.
• Support occasional workshops, demonstrations and outreach events with on‑site social media coverage.

Required profile

• Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate educational and technical topics into clear, appealing content.
• Interest in AI, education and youth‑focused programs.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, Marketing or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Canva (or similar graphic‑design tool) for creating visuals.
• Proficiency with Instagram, Facebook and TikTok for content publishing and community management.
