Software Engineer II - Python GenAI

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Python Engineer with hands‑on experience in Generative AI to build production‑grade backend services and integrate large language models into real products. The role offers ownership of end‑to‑end data pipelines, API development, and AI‑driven features in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Build and integrate features powered by Large Language Models and Generative AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI).
• Implement prompt engineering strategies, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and agentic workflows.
• Work with vector databases and embeddings (e.g., Opensearch, Qdrant, Pinecone) for search and retrieval use cases.
• Write clean, well‑tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Own data processing, automation scripts, and integration pipelines end‑to‑end.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle within an Agile environment.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and improve performance and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience with Python as the primary language.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face) in production or side projects.
• Practical experience with prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG‑based architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience writing automated unit tests and ensuring code quality.
• Strong Git experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Jira).
