Solar Engineer

About the role

The Solar Engineer will be involved in both field and office‑based activities, supporting the design, installation, testing, commissioning and documentation of solar PV projects for Cosmic Solution in Kathmandu.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation, testing and commissioning of solar PV systems at project sites
• Conduct site surveys and provide technical inputs for system design
• Develop engineering drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and related tools
• Perform feasibility studies, prepare BOQs and estimate project costs
• Coordinate with technicians, contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth execution
• Ensure installation quality, safety compliance and adherence to technical standards
• Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and operation phases
• Support preparation of technical reports, documentation and project updates
• Assist in tender preparation, proposals and system performance analysis

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months (2 years) of experience in solar PV projects
• Ability to work onsite and manage field activities
• Strong attention to technical detail and safety standards
