Spare Parts Officer – Automotive After‑Sales

About the role

The Spare Parts Officer will manage the procurement, inventory, storage and issuance of automotive spare parts for our after‑sales department in Itahari. The role ensures that the workshop and customers receive the right parts at the right time while keeping inventory accurate and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily spare parts inventory and maintain proper stock levels.
• Identify and order required parts based on demand, minimum stock and service needs.
• Receive, inspect and store incoming parts.
• Issue parts to workshop, service department and customers.
• Keep accurate records of receipts, issues, transfers, returns and adjustments.
• Prepare purchase requests/orders and coordinate with suppliers.
• Follow up with suppliers on availability, pricing, delivery and backorders.
• Monitor fast‑moving, slow‑moving and obsolete parts.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure proper labeling, coding and storage of parts.
• Coordinate with service/workshop team to identify parts for repair jobs.
• Provide accurate part numbers, availability and price information.
• Maintain documentation for warranty, returned and damaged items.
• Keep the parts store clean, organized and compliant with procedures.
• Prepare inventory and sales reports for management.
• Assist in controlling inventory costs and reducing unnecessary stock.
• Follow company policies on safety, security, purchasing and inventory control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 1–3 years experience in automobile spare parts, inventory, warehouse or after‑sales operations.
• Prior experience in an automotive spare‑parts department preferred.
• Knowledge of automobile spare parts and basic vehicle components.
• Good computer skills and experience with inventory/ERP or spare‑parts management systems.
