Store Manager – Site Accountant (Solar PV Project)

About the role

The Store Manager will oversee material handling, inventory control, and site accounting for a 20 MW solar PV project in Dhalkebar, Bardibas. This full‑time position requires meticulous documentation, cash management, and coordination with the head office.

Key responsibilities

• Receive materials and equipment, verify quantities and condition against dispatch documents, and raise Goods Received Notes.
• Track high‑value assets by recording serial numbers of modules and inverters, maintaining bin cards and the stock register.
• Control the store by safely storing materials, issuing items against approved requisitions, and keeping accurate issue records.
• Conduct periodic physical stock counts, report variances, and reconcile inventory.
• Manage site cash, petty cash, imprest, local purchases, and day‑to‑day site expenses.
• Maintain accounts documentation, retain vouchers and supporting bills, and apply VAT/PAN and TDS requirements on local payments.
• Record entries in Tally and submit regular site expense and stock statements to the head office.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Management (or +2 with relevant experience).
• Prior experience in store keeping and/or site accounting, preferably on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Honest, disciplined, and able to control both cash and high‑value stock.
• Willingness to work full‑time on a project site.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tally.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Understanding of VAT, PAN and TDS requirements for local payments.
• Familiarity with stock records, bin cards and goods receipt procedures.
