Technical Solutions Consultant – Architectural Systems

About the role

The Technical Solutions Consultant is DATUMA’s technical authority for window, door, railing, partition, screen, skylight and façade systems. Working closely with architects, interior designers, consulting engineers and contractors, you will bridge engineering, product knowledge and sales to deliver confident technical solutions across Nepal.

Key responsibilities

• Assess project requirements through site visits, drawings and client consultations and recommend the optimal system configuration.
• Prepare technical submittals, mock‑up proposals and tender content, and review shop drawings before orders are placed.
• Secure specifications with architects and engineers, deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations at the Experience Centre and client sites.
• Maintain DATUMA’s technical standards, verify installed work against specifications, and manage the technical library (CAD blocks, performance data, specification text).
• Analyse market trends, competitor systems and recurring objections to inform product and specification strategy.

Required profile

• Engineer (civil, mechanical, architectural or related) with 3‑5 years of experience in technical sales, specification or construction products.
• Comfortable in the field, able to travel across the Kathmandu Valley and Nepal, and possess a valid driver’s licence with own vehicle.
• Strong analytical and commercial judgement, confident presenting to senior design professionals, and fluent in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• AutoCAD familiarity for drawing interpretation and markup.
• Technical sales and specification development for aluminium, glass and façade systems.
• Ability to read and annotate architectural and structural drawings.
• Preparation of technical submittals, mock‑ups and tender documentation.
