AI/ML Engineer

About the role

LavamTech is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy machine‑learning models for client projects and internal products. This full‑time, on‑site position in Kathmandu offers the chance to work on real‑world applications across diverse sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and preprocess datasets to prepare them for modeling.
• Select, train, evaluate, and optimize machine‑learning models, including neural networks.
• Deploy models into production environments using APIs, micro‑services, or cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and domain experts to integrate ML solutions into scalable systems.
• Document workflows, model behavior, and best practices.
• Monitor deployed models, perform maintenance, and apply updates as needed.
• Stay current with emerging AI/ML tools, frameworks, and research.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, and software engineering.
• Proficiency in statistics, pattern recognition, and data analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with neural networks and modern ML frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively on‑site in Kathmandu and manage multiple projects.
• Experience with data pipelines, SQL/NoSQL databases, and model deployment is beneficial.
• Interest in applied research and continuous learning.
