Finance Coordinator

About the role

The Finance Coordinator will manage financial accounting, reconciliation, and expense review for World Vision’s multi‑donor response projects, including US Government‑funded activities and the Flood Response Project. The role ensures compliance with donor regulations, internal policies, and statutory requirements while supporting program teams across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Administer multi‑donor funding, maintain segment accounting, and monitor expenditures to ensure allowability and proper allocation.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, annual and donor‑specific financial reports, conduct account reconciliations, and provide variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with donor terms, maintain documentation for audits, and support internal and external audit processes.
• Review partner financial reports, conduct monitoring visits, and provide capacity‑building guidance to partners.
• Provide technical financial guidance to project managers and coordinate with procurement, logistics, and grant acquisition teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Studies or equivalent; professional certifications (CIMA, CFA, ACCA, CA, CPA) preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive finance or grant management experience in an NGO/INGO environment, including 2–3 years managing US Government‑funded grants.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sun Systems, Vision XL, Executive).
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting tools.
