General Manager

About the role

The General Manager will lead Fusemachines' Nepal branch, aligning local execution with the company’s global AI strategy. This senior executive role combines high‑level strategic planning with hands‑on operational oversight across engineering, delivery, HR, finance, and administration.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the annual business strategy in line with global objectives.
• Drive business development, client relationships, and revenue growth initiatives.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, resource allocation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Own the branch P&L, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance.
• Lead and mentor the local leadership team, fostering culture, engagement, and talent development.
• Ensure compliance with Nepal’s labor, tax, and corporate governance regulations.
• Manage risk, workplace safety, and overall organizational compliance.
• Serve as primary liaison with global leadership, reporting on performance and strategic progress.
• Represent Fusemachines Nepal with clients, government bodies, and industry stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in senior or general management.
• Proven P&L ownership and experience scaling multi‑departmental operations.
• Background in technology, AI, or IT services is strongly preferred.
