General Manager

About the role

The General Manager will lead the Nepal branch, aligning local execution with the global company's strategy. This executive position oversees engineering, delivery, HR, finance, and administration while acting as the primary liaison to international leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the annual business strategy in line with global objectives.
• Drive business development, client relationships, and revenue growth initiatives.
• Identify new partnership opportunities that support overall company growth.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations across all functions, ensuring efficient resourcing, prioritization, and budgeting.
• Own the branch P&L, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Establish operational KPIs and lead continuous process improvement.
• Lead and mentor the local leadership team, fostering culture, engagement, and talent development.
• Oversee succession planning and performance management across the branch.
• Ensure compliance with Nepal’s labor, tax, and corporate governance regulations.
• Manage risk, workplace safety, and overall organizational compliance.
• Serve as a key contact for global leadership, providing regular performance and strategic updates.
• Represent the Nepal branch with clients, government bodies, and industry stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior or general management.
• Proven P&L ownership and experience scaling multi‑departmental operations.
• Background in technology, AI, or IT services is strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating with global teams across time zones.
• Leadership or management certification is a plus.
