Information Technology Analyst

About the role

The Information Technology Analyst will support the Provincial and Local Governance Strengthening Programme (PLGSP) in Nepal, providing essential IT services to ensure the smooth operation of the programme’s digital environment. Based in Biratnagar, the analyst will work closely with programme staff and UNDP/UNCDF/UNV technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software and network infrastructure used by the PLGSP.
• Provide user support and training to programme staff.
• Ensure data security and backup procedures are in place.
• Coordinate with UNDP/UNCDF/UNV IT units for system upgrades and technical assistance.
• Document IT processes and generate regular status reports.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in information technology or a related field.
• Experience in providing IT support within an international or development context.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
