Junior Category Manager – E‑commerce

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Category Manager – E‑commerce to support the growth and daily management of assigned product categories. You will work closely with vendors, internal teams and analytics to optimise assortment, pricing and promotions.

Key responsibilities

• Support category planning and initiatives to drive sales and profitability.
• Monitor category sales, margins, inventory, product performance, and market trends.
• Coordinate with vendors and brands on pricing, availability, promotions, new products, and commercial terms.
• Assist with vendor negotiations, discounts, margins, rebates, and promotional schemes.
• Manage product assortment, listings, pricing, images, specifications, and catalog accuracy.
• Monitor competitor pricing and support competitive pricing strategies.
• Coordinate promotional campaigns, offers, bundles, and product visibility initiatives.
• Track stock availability, stock‑outs, slow‑moving and overstocked products.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Marketing, Finance, Warehouse, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
• Prepare category performance reports and provide data‑driven insights and recommendations.
• Identify new products, brands, and opportunities based on customer demand and market trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in e‑commerce, retail, category management, merchandising, procurement, commercial, brand management or sales.
• Experience working with vendors, product portfolios, pricing, promotions and inventory (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets and data analysis.
• Good communication, coordination, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commercial and analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior experience in FMCG, beauty, fashion, electronics, healthcare or lifestyle sectors is a plus.
