Junior Software Engineer

About the role

Odin is looking for a curious and driven Junior Software Engineer to join its lean Product & Engineering team. This entry‑level position offers the chance to work on both frontend and backend systems, integrate APIs, and build AI‑powered automations that streamline core business workflows for Australian expats and overseas investors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend and backend features using JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Build, improve and document APIs, internal integrations and databases.
• Participate in debugging, testing, code reviews and collaborative technical discussions.
• Gain hands‑on experience with large language models, tool‑calling and agentic workflows.
• Gradually take ownership of small production features from development through release.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience building software through academic projects, internships, freelance work or open‑source contributions.
• Basic understanding of web development, APIs, databases and version control (Git).
• Strong interest in software engineering, automation or AI‑driven applications.
