Mid Level QA Engineer

About the role

The Mid‑Level QA Engineer ensures the quality, reliability and performance of mobile applications on Android and iOS. You will lead testing activities, mentor junior QA staff and collaborate with developers, product managers and designers throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to define test scope.
• Design, create and maintain detailed test cases, test plans and test scenarios.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, usability, compatibility and integration testing on a variety of Android and iOS devices, OS versions and network conditions.
• Perform API testing, validate backend responses, data integrity and error handling.
• Run database validation using SQL queries when required.
• Identify, reproduce, document and track defects in tools such as Jira, GitLab, ClickUp or Azure DevOps.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, verify bug fixes and perform retesting and regression cycles.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams during sprint planning, daily stand‑ups and retrospectives.
• Estimate testing effort, communicate risks and release readiness, and provide QA sign‑off.
• Support and maintain automated test suites and drive automation initiatives.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and share best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in manual and automated testing of mobile applications.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Proven leadership or mentoring experience within a QA team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an Agile environment.
